About

Hi My Sweet Pineapples!  (◠‿◠)

Welcome to Super Plain Jane ~ Wellness & Lifestyle Blog.

My name is Stephanie Lise Groulx, {formally Stephanie Lamoureux}. I am French Canadian, and live in the beautiful province of Ontario, CA. I married my husband in 2016 and together we have two beautiful fur-babies (Ash & Teddy). I work in Office Administration for a Hospital by day and by night I am a novice young adult novelist.

I consider myself to be a Hippie-Geek “Hippie” I use the word loosely to describe my nonmainstream ideologies and “Geek” because I love all things computer-related. I’m a fan of all things Video Games, Movies, TV Shows, Cartoons, Entertainment, Comedy and Pop-Culture.

This does not always match up well with my age; who knew you had to become an Adult and take yourself so seriously?

[My Teen Years in the 90’s]

I find as I get older my young-at-heart childlike silly spirit has not escaped me yet. Should it?

[My Younger Self – P.S. I Still love Roller Coasters and Merry-go-rounds.]

If so I failed Adulting 101.

The catalyst for this new blog theme came forth when I caught myself within a shit-storm of an existential crisis. You know the kind where you question the very foundations of your life and whether this life has any meaning, purpose, or value?!? I pretty much became a slave to my routine life, gained weight and became a professional couch-potato.

Sound familiar? C’mon we’ve all been there!

I needed to re-connect with my authentic self and understand how to live a happy, vital and fulfilled life.

That is when my alter-ego  Super Plain Jane was born.

She came to life and PUSHED MY LAZY ASS off my comfy sofa and into productive reality.

“When we take action on the things that truly matter deep in our hearts, move in directions that we consider valuable and worthy, clarify what we stand for in life and act accordingly, then our lives become rich and full and meaningful, and we experience a powerful sense of vitality.”

~ Russ Harris – The Happiness Trap: How to Stop Struggling and Start Living

To create change within oneself alone with being more proactive is a major undertaking. That is why I found that by blogging my journey from PLAIN JANE to  SUPER PLAIN JANE would help me stay focused and motivated.
